Frequently Asked Questions

  • At what age do you let baby goats go to their new homes?
At our farm, we prioritize the well-being and development of our baby goats. We adhere to a responsible and nurturing practice, allowing them to transition to their new homes only after reaching a minimum age of 8 weeks. Ideally, we prefer to wait until they are closer to 10 weeks old, as we believe that the longer they have with their mothers, the better their overall health and adjustment to their new environment.
  • How often do you have piglets?
At present, we have one annual litter as we currently maintain only one sow. Recently, we introduced another young Gilt who will eventually become a birthing sow, expanding our breeding capacity. To prioritize the health and well-being of our sows, we adhere to a conservative breeding approach, limiting each sow to one litter per year. While sows could technically have up to three litters annually, we believe that a once-a-year breeding cycle ensures optimal health conditions for our animals.

  • What are the benefits of having a farm?
Establishing and maintaining a farm brings forth a multitude of benefits. Firstly, it provides the opportunity to cultivate and harvest fresh, homegrown produce, promoting a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. A farm also serves as a source of high-quality meats, contributing to self-sufficiency and the assurance of knowing the origin of one's food. Beyond the agricultural aspect, having a farm fosters a strong connection with nature and the land. It offers a serene and peaceful environment, conducive to relaxation and personal well-being. Engaging in farming activities promotes physical exercise and a sense of accomplishment. Moreover, a farm can be a hub for fostering a deep bond with animals. Whether through livestock or companion animals, the presence of animals on the farm contributes to a fulfilling and enriching experience. This can be particularly beneficial for families, offering educational opportunities for children and creating lasting memories. • Do you milk the goats for your goat milk products?
Yes, we actively engage in milking our goats. Initially, we began with the hands-on approach of milking each goat manually. As our herd expanded to include four goats requiring daily milking, we transitioned to the efficiency of a milking machine. However, we maintain a balance by incorporating random hand milking sessions. This practice ensures that our goats are familiar and comfortable with both methods, contributing to their well-being and the quality of our milk production.

The endless benefits of fresh goat's milk inspired us to create high-quality lotions, allowing us to share the wholesome advantages of this natural ingredient with our customers.
